Vangelus TGWTG – FE Cliffjumper (Youtube Retropost)

Click to proceed to the TGWTG page!

I’ve had a whole bunch of technical problems getting the new V-Chat up (still ongoing!).  Last night I enacted a new emergency plan and plugged one of my better recent Youtube reviews into Blip for viewing on the TGWTG site.

Originally I didn’t want to simply cross-post stuff, but the point has been made to me more than once that it would make sense to share Youtube reviews on TGWTG now and then for the sake of more regular site content + not keeping that stuff entirely cordoned off from the TGWTG viewership.

Still kind of feel bad about it, but for some reason adding that “Youtube Retropost” tag and not making a huge deal out of YT cross-posts has made the idea a bit more palatable to the foppier artsy end of my mind.

I won’t be making new pages for Blip-YT crossposts, just adding to the existing Youtube Review pages on here.  For some reason I can’t get the Blip version of the Cliffjumper review to embed on the page, though.

Planning to go back and see if there are 2 or 3 other YT reviews that I feel still hold up and could be viewable again, like the Universe Hound + Ravage video.  Ideally I’d like to have a few YT cross-posts up and waiting on Blip, to fill in for times where I don’t have new TGWTG-oriented videos in production so that there aren’t 3-6 week gaps of content from me for that site.

About vangelus

I am a geek of a robotoyetic and tokusatsu slant who likes to make video and audio about what I love.

  1. Nothing wrong with cross-posting. Tagging it as re-post would help differentiate between them and do-overs for the TGWTG site.

Either way, I’d love to see the King Exkaiser/Dragonkaiser duology on TGWTG, I think they’d get lots of love. Especially if you have a higher resolution version of the Exkaiser review.

  2. Do what you can, when you can I reckon; At the end of the day you’re only Human (At least that’s what the test results suggest :P).

  3. I think that it would definitely be better to have more content on TGWTG than to have exclusive content on youtube. People are prone to forgetting reviewers who don’t have a steady stream of content in their preferred venue, and on TGWTG, you have been starting to look like “The guy who only does vlogs”, to be honest.

    • Even with more than a 2:1 ratio of review productions vs other productions? 😉

      • I admit, it might seem that way to me because I really don’t care about the Kamen Rider -type stuff. Still, that’s a pretty high vlog ratio.

      • They aren’t even all vlogs, and the last few things that’d be called that were produced to be a bit more than the term’s connotations tend to bear, is all. D:

Ratios aside I also just get higher traffic on Youtube in general, and the TGWTG audience’s preferences are often weirdly persnickety. That’s why as of the Dexter video I’ve been specializing the videos for them to be less informative and more for casual people. I like seeing how that site viewership receives the productions, but when I hit a number of time crunches over the last year it was more sensible to prioritize Youtube productions. 😦
